At Mathnificant, we believe that the discussion and engagement are key components to enhance student learning. This pathway will allow for us to share, participate and engage in activities that have been successfully implemented in the classroom as a group and then provide time for teachers to plan how to implement these activities into their curriculums. They are aligned to specific standards to help make implementation easier and will allow for teachers to spend thoughtful time in planning and preparing.
Building
Math Culture
Mathnificent’s mission is to build mathematicians. We believe the building blocks to that goal incorporate all aspects of the school community. Building culture requires establishing school wide collaboration via systematic norms and addressing how to engage math in different contexts. Addressing math phobia involves a re-teaching of how individuals think about math. This pathway will inform educators how to build habits in the classroom as well as make connections between math in other subjects and daily life.
Curriculum

Instruction
The foundation to students reaching their full potential is what goes on in the classroom. This pathway provides the methods of curriculum development, collaboration amongst educators, and alignment that are essential to academic progress. Success in developing effective growth in students requires a coherence between planning what we want students to be able to do, and providing creative and effective ways for them to get there. This training will cultivate the structures and habits that allow educators to maximize their efforts in the classroom.
